BNI CEO visits Cabo Delgado
As part of the disclosure of the COVID-19 credit lines, a team from the Banco Nacional de Investimento (BNI), headed by the respective Chairman of the Executive Committee, Tomás Matola, today visited the City of Pemba in the Cabo Delgado Province, where he made the presentation credit lines to entrepreneurs in that Province, in a meeting with all local business associations. The event took place today at 9.00 am at AVANI Pemba Beach Hotel in the same city.
Tomás Matola’s visit to Cabo Delgado also includes a humanitarian aid program within the scope of the Bank’s social responsibility, which will consist of a simple support for refugees from insurgent attacks in the north of Cabo Delgado, namely, an offer to the Refugee Center located in the city of Pemba, of various food products and protective articles such as blankets, “capulanas” and masks. The symbolic delivery will be made by the CEO of BNI Tomás Matola to the Secretary of State of that Province, Professor Doutor Armindo Ngunga.
BNI continues with the disclosure of the COVID-19 credit lines next week, in which it will cover the Provinces of Zambézia and Niassa in the north of the country, and Gaza and Inhambane in the south of the country.
According to information collected from an official BNI source, so far (August 7) about 300 projects from all over the country have entered.
BNI encourages micro, small and medium-sized companies in the country, especially those most affected by COVID-19 and those located in the districts, to continue submitting their credit proposals as this is a unique opportunity for eligible companies to obtain cheap financing to make in view of its treasury and investment expenses, so as not to lay off its workforce as well as to generate new jobs.
